Klaas his motor trip. Every year Klaas goes on a motor trip with colleagues, friends and others. Some 20 motorcycles went from Monday to Friday to Spa in Belgium. The weather didn’t help a lot, it was raining some days. Klaas is changing a bit and found it difficult to fit into the group. He noticed that he needed some time for himself. And all the beer drinking and man talk weren’t so fun anymore. (He hardly drinks). On Wednesday I got a very weird phone call. He had left for a day tour but went back. He came to the conclusion that he isn’t a good comfortable rider. He loves his bike, but is accurately a bit scared to ride it. And he is riding for years. So he told me he wanted to stop motor riding. We wants to sell his bike and buy a mountain bike. I was a bit scared that he stopped for the wrong reasons, but he was really relived with is decision. He just never rides relaxed. And when he came home on Friday he was so stiff with tension that he was sure he wants to sell it. I’m very proud that he didn’t see it at a failure, but he was proud that he finally dare to admit he was scared.
Doggy friends. Our friends have a puppy called Boris. And when my friend came over for dinner we tried if the dogs could go along. Well they didn’t get along. Boris is very busy and doesn’t understand doggy language very much. Even though Casper told him to take it easy it looked like Boris didn’t understand. So Casper got nervous. So we put him with a treat in the bedroom. In the meantime Boris played with all his toys and loved that. He even destroyed Casper’s plastic fish. Then I gave him a big bone Casper doesn’t like. Boris got very excited but didn’t know how to eat it. Very funny. Later when we walked them it got a bit better, but we had to look out if the line did not entangle.
Later that week I had a call with my friend in Minnesota. They have a poodle called Rosie. So Casper and Rosie met through Skype. They both where very curious. I often think that they recognise the dog of the same breed. The rest of the call Rosie hid behind the chair and looked just around the corner. Very funny.
Sophie = Hero. While driving with Casper between the fields I saw a big sheep on his back. He didn’t seem to get up on his own. So I stop, climbed the fence and give him a little push. He was so startled of my appearance that the sheep got super powers and fell over. All the other sheep made loads of noise. And Casper and I returned home.
Visiting grandparents. On Wednesday I got a call from grandma what I think of the idea that the come the next day. Of course I loved it. I have grandparents, who just like the sheep, have super powers, but then all the time. The drive all over the country and still use the caravan. They are super active and use all the new technologies. And that over 85 years old! So I bought quickly a present for my grandpa’s 86 birthday of Monday. They arrived with sunflowers in the afternoon. After tea with presents we went to a new restaurant nearby. We all talked a lot and they asked loads of questions about me and Klaas. Klaas was a bit jealous that he wasn’t there. But in the end I was told to give him a hug from HIS grandparents. Very moving how attached they all got in such a short time. It was a great evening!
Finally a new kitchen. After a year delay we got the letter of replacing our kitchen. Apparently we have to leave our house in the week of 12 November. Then they install our new kitchen. I hope this time it will happen! Now we have to make plan how to empty the old kitchen.
Double date. On Sunday we had a double date with Frederik en Anne. We have a new tiny restaurant in town which has good food and is really inexpensive. We had a 3 coarse meal for 30 euro pp. And we had a great time. We are both new couples and that makes it easy. We invited them to our wedding and they liked it. They also are very in love and we think they will go to weddings with a different view now.
Wedding website. To inform our guest I have been busy making a word press wedding site with info, guest book, stories, pictures etc. I worked hard on it on Sunday because we suddenly realised that we have to air it soon. We also realised that we can’t put a password on it, so we have to look at our info carefully. But it looks very beautiful. We hope everybody finds it useful. We use business card as a mini invitation, so people have to look on the site to find the rest of the info. If someone has a nice idea what to punt on the site, just let me know.

I love wedding websites that have a section of bullet points of the couple’s important dates and events –a mini history of the relationship. It’s cute, personal, and gives everyone invited a glimpse into your world. xo
